| Job Description | Job Purpose & Scope:
1. Should demonstrate strong analytical approach to problem-solving and keen sense of business judgement.
2. Carry out all aspect of reservoir management activities including field development, performance evaluation, reservoir & asset evaluation and well prognosis.
3. Evaluate and manage water flooding scheme. Use fundamental reservoir engineering techniques and integrate dynamic and static data to identify the water production mechanism and set mitigation plans to control water production.
4. Carry out pattern balancing calculation and ensure uniform production and injection process. Ensure optimum VRR.
5. Carry out individual well and full field performance evaluation including conventional and horizontal well assessment.
6. Design surveillance programs including pressure transient surveys, tracer surveys, interference testing and cased hole logging programs. Monitor flood front movement and identify any anomalous well performance.
7. Ability to analyze well tests in conventional and horizontal wells.
8. Ability to analyze production and monitoring logs (TDT/PDK/CHFR/RST/PLT/WFL).
9. Capability in developing programs and following up on conventional SCAL and EOR fluid laboratory studies.
10. Conduct single well and sector model studies for performance evaluation and pattern balancing. Perform material balance calculation considering pattern, sector, area and full field.
11. Identify opportunities for improving well performance, workover jobs, well stimulation and production enhancement. Follow up on drilling, completions and well intervention activities.
12. Strong computer skills and competent with OFM, PANSYS and Saphir.
13. Contribute actively to the Emiratization programs by participating in training and development of young UAE engineers.
14. Work in line with Company HSE Policy and comply with HSE procedures, rules and regulations.
Minimum Requirements:
1. BSc. degree in petroleum, chemical or mechanical engineering.
2. A minimum of 8 years experience in petroleum engineering with at least 6 years as a reservoir engineer fully engaged in reservoir management activities.
3. Simulation experience is advantage for the candidate.
4. Should have very good soft and technical skills, high level of proficiency, very good communication ability, able to share knowledge with the team, very good team work spirit, very good knowledge and back ground on all fundamental reservoir engineering and tools and able to mentor and groom young engineers. |
