ENGINEERING JOBS
A Houston based company is looking for a Senior Drilling Engineer. The job descriptions is below:
Minimum Qualifications:
--Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline
--Must have at least 5-15 years’ experience in the Exploration & Production industry
--Focus should be in offshore operations with an emphasis on drilling and work-over operations, including design, budgeting, planning and execution activities
--Must be able to travel to offshore locations as needed
--Must have the ability to effectively works and communicate in a multi-disciplinary team environment and effectively work with government, partner, company and field personnel
--Proficient in Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
--BS degree in Petroleum Engineering strongly preferred
Responsibilities:
--Provide well design, planning and drilling engineering support, covering all aspects of drilling projects
--Prepare drilling time and cost estimates for wells as required for concept screening and budget preparation
--Prepare required permitting data packages in conjunction with Energy XXI’s regulatory staff to obtain all required government approvals for GOM, inland waters and land drilling activities
--Prepare, promote and support implementation of new drilling technology aimed at improvement of field development activities to include: introduction of new technologies, managed pressure drilling, casing drilling, implementation of innovative work practices, etc.
--Generate cost savings initiatives
--Advise management regarding all drilling activities, as required
--Maintain up-to-date knowledge based on state-of-the-art technologies in drilling discipline and communicate relevant news effectively within company
--Adhere to drilling-related company policies and procedures and propose improvements as needed
--Other duties as assigned
