Currently we have a position open in our Jakarta office as Government Approval Coordinator (09523).
POSITION SUMMARY
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Report to VP Government and External Affairs, responsible to promote
the Company position to the government authorities. Assist Business
Delivery through appropriate communication with government authorities
(BPMIGAS, MIGAS, KLH, Depnaker, HUBLA and local government) in order to
protect Company”s image, reputation and Corporate business policies. 2. Coordinating all government approvals for all functions within Hess organization. 3. Provides support to functional departments as necessary. 4. Managing relevant administration and reports.
Main Activities:
1. Promote the Company position to government authorities. Assist
Business Delivery through appropriate communication with stakeholders in
order to protect Company”s image, reputation and Corporate business
policies. - Develop strategy to develop and maintain HESS image and
relationships with BPMIGAS, MIGAS, ESDM, KLH, Depnaker, HUBLA as well as
with the Regional Government (Governor, Bupati etc).
2. Coordinating Government approvals for all functions within Hess organization.
- Coordinate communication among functional department within Hess
Indonesia and Government (BPMIGAS, MIGAS, ESDM, KLH, Depnaker, HUBLA
etc). - Responsible for lobbying and chasing /following up with government authorities to ensure timely approval of Hess proposals.
- Responsible for following up documentation process, identifying where
they are within our external stakeholder internal process and helping
it to be moved along within government internal process. - Managing coordination meeting between Hess and government authorities.
3. Managing relevant administration and report - Managing relevant reporting and administration work. - Ensuring the confidentiality of the company”s documentation.
REQUIREMENTS:
a) Education and Experience: - Bachelor degree. - A minimum of 5 years experience in government relations area within oil and gas industry.
b) Technical Competencies and Knowledge: - Communication skills to the stakeholders. - Excellent networking with the government authorities, especially BPMIGAS and MIGAS. - The oil and gas industry knowledge. - Internal communication. - Lobbying, Persuasion. - Excellent written and verbal communication in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
c) Basic skill: - Computer: Very good in computer software (Excel & Word). - Language: English both verbal (speaking) and written. - Must be persuasive, persistent, relentless and organized in lobbying and following up documents in approval process.
The Social Responsibility Manager position is responsible for
Social Responsibility (SR) oversight in Indonesia reporting to the
President and General Manager Hess Indonesia. This position will manage
SR teams and work with Hess operations based in various Indonesia
locations.
The Manager will be a key member of the Social Responsibility team
providing support to the President and General Manager and responsible
for community and stakeholder relations, compliance with Voluntary
Commitments, social investment and overall non-technical above ground
risk management.
Key Responsibilities: • Provide SR support to Exploration, Production, Security, EHS functions and project teams. •
Provide risk identification, community relations, ethics and
stakeholder engagement guidance for the proactive identification,
assessment and mitigation of political, governmental, stakeholder and
social risks and opportunities to project teams and management. •
Embed work practices which develop capabilities and compliance with the
Declaration of Human Rights, the UN Global Compact, the Voluntary
Principles on Security and Human Rights, the EITI and the ILO
Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work. • Lead, mentor and direct Community Relations, Community Development and Government Affairs staff. •
Ensure effective roll out of Social Responsibility and related human
rights and security policies and standards. Develop related training
program and materials for employees and contractors. • Develop
annual social investment budget strategy/work plan and monitor
expenditures. Ensure alignment with business strategy and stakeholder
priorities. • Map and gain understanding of key stakeholders. Develop engagement plan. • Promote the Hess Values.
Principal Accountabilities: • Accountable for compliance with
and implementation of Social Responsibility in accordance with the law,
regulation, the Voluntary Commitments, Hess policies and processes and
best practice. • Frontline advice to business partners regarding
development, implementation and continuous monitoring and improvement of
Social Responsibility projects.
REQUIREMENTS:
a) Education and Experience: • Bachelors degree is required, Masters degree is preferable. •
10-15 years business experience, including specific experience in a
Social Responsibility role within an Upstream Oil & Gas environment
is required; extractive industry and/or not-for-profit program
management experience may be considered in lieu of actual Upstream Oil
& Gas experience. • Experience working in Indonesia or region is required. • Knowledge of EHS&SR Management Systems is highly desirable.
b) Technical Competencies and Knowledge: • High degree of honesty, integrity and ethical business practices. • Ability to work with and present to all levels of management and across cultures. • Highly effective interpersonal skills. • Effective written and oral communication skills both in English and Bahasa Indonesia. • Ability to work in a team orientated environment. • Self-starter who works proactively and is able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously to completion.
