QA/QC Manager

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure procedures are in place to manage the quality assurance of the engineering, procurement, construction and installation phases of the project and these procedures are adopted and adhered to by all relevant parties
  • Ensure topsides, pipelines and related equipment manufactured in accordance with applicable codes and standards
  • Ensure quality control procedures are developed and contractors carry out their work in accordance with approved procedures with full traceability and accountability
  • Plan, arrange and carry out audits as appropriate to ensure that the activities of the project team and the contractors/subcontractors are conducted to the appropriate quality standards
  • Ensure project QC resources are utilized as efficiently as possible without compromising quality
  • Develop and manage the adoption of Quality Assurance procedures throughout the project execution
  • Implement safety engineering standards and ensure HSE risk management activities are conducted at the required stages of the project
  • Identify and ensure production of necessary Quality Control procedures and promote their systematic application within the project
  • Review and approve Quality Manuals and associated Quality Plans and procedures for contractors, subcontractors and vendors
  • Liaise closely with the Certification Engineer, responsible for Indonesian permitting and certification to ensure that the progress of the work is maintained and government/third party requirements are met
  • Ensure that appropriate tracking systems are in place to record and resolve non-compliance issues via the appropriate project team members
  • Review and approve all welding specifications, welding procedures, qualification test, welder qualifications, and NDT procedures and personnel prior to initiation of the work
  • Facilitate input by Welding Engineer when appropriate
  • Approve all Company/Contractors/sub-contractor's inspection and QC personnel to ensure they are qualified
  • Prepare requirements for Company inspectors and equipment for each stage of the project
  • Ensure that the fabricators, vendors and manufacturers meet all quality requirements and obligations by initiating audits and inspections
Requirements:
  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years QA/QC experience across development projects and production operations
  • Internationally recognized qualifications in Quality Assurance and membership of internationally recognized and relevant institution, e.g. Institution of Quality Assurance
  • Internationally recognized qualifications in Quality Control and membership of internationally recognized and relevant institution, e.g. Institution of NDT
  • Experienced in the areas of offshore platform and pipeline engineering, procurement, installation and related Quality Assurance and Quality Control - Experience in supervision of inspection personnel
  • Experience in scheduling and providing functional guidance to inspection personnel
  • Working knowledge of key applicable specifications and codes
  • Ability to assist in the development of personnel
  • Good interpersonal, networking and relationship-building skills and an ability to form an open and productive relationship with the Contractor
