Position :
1.FACILITIES ENGINEER
JOB FUNCTION:
The
Facilities Engineer, as part of the Facilities Engineering Team,
provides support to the Site Engineering Manager, Engineering Lead, and
the Engineering Team by assuming responsibility for the coordination and
stewardship of a broad range of engineering, planning and coordination
activities. Based on project requirements, the Facilities Engineer may
also be assigned responsibility for defined components or areas of the
engineering work scope to ensure effective integration and execution of
cross-discipline activities.
RESPONSIBILITY AND DUTIES:
Supports
the Engineering Project Team with the coordination, execution and
stewardship of some or all of the following selected activities:
•Area responsibility for the CPF Utilities, CPF Process or the Wellpads & Offsites
•Procurement – Engineering Interface and Engineering Management Processes
•Identification, facilitation, and reporting of critical and long lead equipment procurement issues
•Tracking and prioritization of construction and procurement support deliverables
•Engineering change management (Change Inquiries, Requests, Proposals, and MOCs)
•Interfacing with contractor(s) and MCL PT for problem solving and resolution of multi-discipline engineering issues
•Assisting
the Facilities Engineer Specialist with data development and
assimilation (narratives, charts, graphs, etc.) required for engineering
surveillance and progress reporting
•Organize and coordinate as appropriate design / operability / constructability reviews and risk assessments
•Capture and communicate engineering lessons learned
•Follow-up on Quality audit findings related to engineering
•Recommending
corrective actions where deficiencies in contractor’s performance are
uncovered and verifies actions are taken and desired results are
achieved
•Assists
the Facilities Engineer Specialist to coordinate specification
deviations including Functional SME reviews where required
•Prepares MOCs for designated project component and ensures implementation of change
•Participates in technical reviews with contractor and vendor personnel
•Assists with coordination and stewardship of part-time functional support and SME utilization & budgets
•Assists
the Facilities Engineer Specialist to coordinate external reviews
(DRRs, CRRs, IPRs) and administers follow-up action plans
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCES:
•BS degree in an engineering field
•Minimum 7 years of experience through multiple function and project assignments in engineering activities
•Multi-disciplinary skill set and broad knowledge of engineering design office procedures and work processes
•Strong leadership, influencing, and interpersonal skills
•Strong organizational, coordination, planning, and interface skills
•Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
•Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs, Lotus Notes, etc.
•Excellent communication skills and ability to read, write, and speak fluent English
2.FIELD PIPING ENGINEER
JOB FUNCTION:
The
Field Piping Engineer – Field Facilities is responsible for overseeing
the shop and site fabrication support of field piping. Working closely
with the Mechanical – Piping Engineer and the rest of the Engineering
Team, the Field Piping Engineer ensures that the EPC Contractor's
Fabrication Subcontractors are fabricating the pipe spools in accordance
with drawings and resolves any issues that may delay production.
Working with the piping inspection team, the engineer ensures that the
Project's requirements, as detailed in the Technical Specifications and
Scope of Supply, for all Piping items are met. Facilitates interfaces
in the field, the fabrication shop and the main engineering office with
respect to piping issues.
RESPONSIBILITY AND DUTIES:
•Provide overall piping engineering technical leadership and expertise
•Coordinate
site engineering team members' involvement in piping activities,
including interaction with EPC contractor's piping personnel
•Work with the Mechanical – Piping Engineer to advise the EPC contractor's piping engineering and design effort with respect to:
- Data sheet completeness and accuracy
- Piping engineering studies and analyses
- Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs) reviews with emphasis on equipment safety and operability
- Inspection and test plans, including Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and Site Integration Tests (SITs)
- Compliance with design methods and safety factors to be used in design of project
- Vendor shop visits for progress review and status up-dates.
- Flexibility analysis
- Valve management
- Material takeoff
•Steward the EPC contractor's Piping engineering, design, fabrication, and installation activities including:
- Detail Piping layout design.
- Recommended deliverables and labor hour estimate for Piping work.
- Measurement and reporting of physical progress
- Providing appropriate technical specifications and guidance for Valves and Piping Component.
- Review drawings and other deliverables as required for inter-discipline design coordination
- Ensure that the fabricator is working to the correct piping drawings and quickly resolve any issues.
- Review vendor data for completeness as required for Piping design and compliance with project specifications
- Assistance
in procurement of valves and piping component including bid
evaluations, review of bid tabulations, initiating bid recommendations,
etc.
- Development of field installation plans and procedures.
- Verify
and coordinate short and long term preservation requirements, including
maintaining a sign-off sheet for required inspections
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCES:
•Knowledge of:
- Piping engineering design principles and manufacturing processes
- Applicable codes, standards, and trade practices
- Industry practices, processes, and expectations with respect to piping engineering
•Experience in factory performance and acceptance testing
•Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering
•7+
years of closely related professional engineering experience, 2+ years
of which should be at the Senior Piping Engineer level
•Role as piping engineer and fabrication shop engineer.
•Role as a Piping Engineer on an oil and gas project (desirable)
•Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs, Lotus Notes, etc.
•Read,
write, and speak fluent English, especially as required to function
effectively within a project team and to communicate with project
management, contractors, and sub contractors
3.I & C PACKAGE ENGINEER
JOB FUNCTION:
The
Instrument & Controls Package Engineer - FF works in close
cooperation with the MICC Lead Engineer, I&C Electrical Engineer
Specialist, and the Mechanical Package Engineers to help coordinate the
instrumentation and controls engineering elements of the Project as it
pertains to packaged equipment. This position ensures that the
Project's requirements, as detailed in the technical specifications, for
instrumentation and controls engineering are carried out in a
professional and timely fashion. The engineer assists in the
stewardship of all instrumentation and controls engineering aspects of
the Project with other discipline leads on the PMT, as necessary. The
position interfaces among the BU Project Team disciplines, MICC
organization, and the EPC contractor's organization with respect to
instrumentation, FAT / Integration Testing and Packaged Equipment PLCs
to ensure quality and minimize change orders. For instrument related
activities, the position helps to oversee the work of the Main
Instrumentation and Controls Contractor (MICC) Project Manager and
organization which is subcontracted to the EPC.
RESPONSIBILITY AND DUTIES:
•Assists in providing instrumentation and control engineering technical leadership and expertise
•Assists in coordinating the package equipment suppliers I&C design with the MICC including:
- Instrumentation engineering
- Development of instrumentation logic and loop diagrams
- Supplier’s schedule with respect to I&C deliverables
- Coordinating the packaged equipment PLCs
- Ensuring INtools requirements clearly defined with a format/structure that meets Operations, MICC and EPC needs
•Review, evaluate, and advise EPC contractor with respect to:
- Instrument specifications, logic and loop diagrams
- Compliance with design methods and safety factors to be used in design of project
- Design correctness, compliance, and operability
- Operability
of the unit or plant for start-up, normal, turndown, and shutdown
modes. Reviews or sets design basis for abnormal operating conditions
- Ensuring that Suppliers comply with all standards, specifications and drawings specified in the Contract
•Participate in I&C technical specification preparation and Hazard and Operability Reviews (HAZOP)
•Participate in packaged equipment related FAT's (eg. Metering packages, etc.) as required
•Provide support to site construction and completions teams
•Provide support to operations during startup
•Manage instrumentation and controls related lessons learned for the project
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCES:
•Knowledge of industry and ExxonMobil (preferable):
- Instrumentation engineering principles, theories, and concepts
- Applicable codes, standards, and trade practices
•Knowledge and experience in the selection and application of instrumentation hardware
•Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
•7+ years of closely related professional engineering experience
•Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, Lotus Notes, Smart Plant Instrumentation (INtools), etc.

4.SITE ENGINEER LEAD (EXPATRIATE)
JOB FUNCTION:
Working
closely with the Jakarta based Engineering Team and the Construction
Team at site, the Site Engineering Lead oversees all site engineering
related activities, including the Site Query Process in the field, and
supports the Construction Team by ensuring construction activities meet
the Project Requirements as detailed in technical specification.
RESPONSIBILITY AND DUTIES:
•Reports to the Engineering Site Manager and coordinates with the Jakarta office Engineering Lead
•Be the liaison and single point contact between the Jakarta based Engineering Team and the site Construction Team
•Supervise and coordinates the site engineering team. Single point of focus for resolution of all site engineering issues.
•Stewards the Site Query Process and ensures that all field instigated changes are reviewed and approved by the Engineering Team
•Manages all site instigated Design Changes, including coordination with the Jakarta based Discipline Engineering Leads.
•Ensures all Design Changes are promulgated down to the subcontractors doing the work.
•Report
back to the Jakarta Engineering Team on the site engineering
activities, progress, areas of concern and mitigating actions and
participate in weekly site construction review meetings.
•Report/record potential change order request to assist in claims avoidance.
•Provide
assistance and direction in the Mechanical Completion, Commissioning,
and Start-up activities of the plant working with all parties to
facilitate these activities.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCES
•Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
•Good written and verbal communications skills.
•Good supervisory skills with experience working on construction sites.
•Minimum
of ten (10) years broad experience in all phases of engineering,
construction planning, field execution and mechanical completion
activities
•Experience
working with contractors and subcontractors, in particular those
involved in the construction of Onshore oil, gas, chemical and/or
petrochemical plant facilities.
•Previous role as a Field / Site engineer with Construction site experience (desirable)
•Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs, Lotus Notes, etc.
•Read,
