ENGINEERING JOBS
One of my clients, a leading Oil & Gas service provider, is
currently looking for professionals for a Principal Risk & Safety
role to be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Details for the role are as
follows:
Responsibilities:
1. To Facilitate Risk and safety assessment Workshops within Malaysia and SEA region.
2. To Develop Technical Proposal for Risk and Safety assessment studies.
3. To clarify clients comments during execution of Projects.
4. Should have minimum 15 years working experience in risk and safety studies for oil and gas industries and chemical industries
5. To carry out Safety Assessment studies such as QRA, HSE Case, HAZOP, HAZID, FERA, NHHA, Gas Dispersion, SIL Classification, SIL Verification, RAM, etc
6. To use and guide the team in modeling software such as Phast, Phast Risk, Shell FRED, FLACS and Flaresim.
7. Capable of leading a team in executing safety studies. Provide technical guidance and solutions to consultants in solving difficult problems.
8. Review safety studies reports
9. Flexible to travel at any time to conduct workshops or to attend client meetings in South East Asia
Accountabilities:
1. To execute Risk and Safety assessment services through Risk & Safety Engineers under the requirements of project.
2. Time Management of projects and provide summary of project to Management.
3. To prepare Weekly Progress Reports for Projects and submit to Management.
4. To keep track on Project timeline and schedule and alert to Management if any deviations noticed.
5. Deliver consistent technical solution to client and identify potential for improvement.
6. Aiding other engineers / departments with their contracts / projects.
7. Develop good working relationships with clients.
8. Attend client meetings to deliver effective technical solutions to clients.
9. Assisting Business Development Team with bids and presentations.
Requirements:
-Education: Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent and preferably Masters in Safety Engineering
-Language: Fluent in English
-Post Graduate with at least 15 years on on-shore and offshore related Risk & safety project experience.

• Strong ethics and integrity
• Strong knowledge in oil and gas market, willing to share knowledge
• General working knowledge on Health, Safety and Environment and Occupational Safety and Health
