Finite Element Engineer, Offshore Pipeline focus
This engineer will be responsible for performing engineering calculations and analysis and to take responsibility for key engineering tasks. He/She will also ensure compliance with corporate and project HSE procedures, and check the quality and content of engineering deliverables. As there will be interfacing with client and subcontractors, this engineer should also be able to communicate confidently and effectively.
Other requirements include:
-Engineering degree (first class) minimum, MSc recommended, PhD preferred
-Chartered status
-Strong in ABAQUS and Ansys software, as well as Orcaflex/Flexcom
-Minimum 10 years experience in offshore pipeline FEED and detail design
-Prior experience on mechanical fatigue, stress and strain testing
-Comfortable with MathCAD, Microsoft Excel & Word
-Strong verbal and written skills in English language
