ENGINEERING JOBS
I am currently recruiting for a midsize engineering company that
provides a variety of services across multiple industries and
disciplines, particularly in the Oil and Gas Industry, for a Senior
Instrumentation Engineer. This is a permanent role located in the
Houston, TX. area.
The purpose of this role is to apply extensive and diversified knowledge of Instrument engineering principles and practices by providing improvements and creative solutions for problems.
Essential duties include:
Review and understand Process Flow Diagrams (PFD's) and P&ID's
Perform cost estimate tasks, checking instrumentation sizing calculations
Prepare and review test and commissioning procedures
Provide engineering specification and support to procurement of equipment and skidded packages
Qualifications:
BS Engineering, Electrical preferred
8-15 years experience design and implementation of instrumentation and control systems for the offshore oil and gas industry, onshore gas processing, chemical manufacturing, or refining.
Experience performing basic calculations for instrumentation including control vales, flow meters, pressure and temperature instruments
Experience as a lead engineer
In depth knowledge and experience with ANSI/NEMA/NFPA/API/UL/ISA/IEEE codes and standards
Familiar with control and safety systems such as Allen Bradley/Rockwell, Yokogawa, ABB, Siemens, or Honeywell
