ENGINEERING JOBS
My clients a global Oil and Gas company have an immediate and
very urgent requirement for an experienced Technical Safety Engineer to
join their team to work on an initial 12 - 24 month contract.
The position will be based from my client's offices inArendal,Norwayand excellent rates of pay are on offer.
Main Duties of the role will include but shall not be limited to :
* Establishing Technical Safety philosophies, strategies and basis for a safe design of the Unit concept, with focus on the following technical areas:
* Area Classification
* Passive- and Active Fire Protection
* Escape, Evacuation and Rescue
* Emergency Shut Down (ESD)
* Fire and Gas Detection (F&G)
* Hazard Management
* Plan and document the hazard management process (risk analyses etc.) for each project
* Provide continuous input to other project disciplines from the above mentioned process
* Liaison with relevant safety authorities
* Produce relevant drawings, specifications and other design documents during the various phases of a project
* Provide input in the procurement process, follow-up suppliers and participate in FATs
* Assist during site installation and commissioning onboard
* Provide support to operations in form of modifications, redeployment projects, etc.
Key Skills / Experience Required:
* At least 5 years relevant experience
* Excellent spoken and written english
* Good and effective communication and co-operation skills
* Good computer skills
This is a very urgent position for my clients to fill and they are ideally looking at getting somebody started by the end of October so will be holding telephone interviews for the position at the beginning of next week.
