RESPONSIBILITIES Overall:
1.To achieve a higher standard of functional excellence in terms of accuracy and consistency
2.To adhere to the principles outlined in the Project Services governing documents (BP Major Projects Common Process, BP's Glossary of Terms, BP Project Services Guidelines, BP CE Procedure, Kildrummy Cost-MANAGER Operational Guide, VRD Project Execution Plan)
3.To balance the information needs of the BRO Delivery Team, the VRD Project, and the BP Corporation
People & Communications:
1.Plan performance goals and objectives along with Project Services Lead and Lead Cost Engineer
2.Participate in company employment meetings, forums, and presentations
3.Assist in the education of VRD staff on Cost Control and Management tools and techniques
4.Network with other BP Norge and Aberdeen projects to share lessons learned
5.Interface with other VRD Cost Engineers, Planner/Schedulers, Document Control, and Project Services Functional Staff

Cost Control:
1.Prepare Cost Control data including but not limited to budgets, commitments, VOWD, forecasting, capex time-phasing (capex management) by source currency, reporting and analysis
2.Work with cost control tools including WBS, Cost-MANAGER, e-Invoice, SAP, Work Mate, Change and Trend Registers, etc
3.Document all variances between the sanction estimate and forecasted final cost with Project Changes in Cost-MANAGER; including the incorporation of output from the Management of Change process (PIMS)
4.Prepare monthly updating of manual forecasts and phasing in Cost-MANAGER at the Budget Item level
5.Ensure all aspects of the sanction estimate are accounted for in the forecasted final costs for each BRO Delivery Area
6.Develop and maintain progress including consolidation of calculations and analysis of contractor and vendor monthly inputs
7.Monitor Contractor's cost, schedule and progress controls to ensure the following:
a. Trends are analyzed with corrective actions and recovery plans in place
b. Physical progress is consistent with recorded costs and other parameters
c. Contract compliance
d. Scopes of work are estimated correctly and included in reports and forecasts
e. Processes are in place for personnel mob and demob tracking
8. Provide early warnings for cost issues and provide support with mitigation proposals
9. Respond to ad hoc requests for data, data analysis, tools, presentation materials, etc
10.Participate in BRO Delivery Team(s) and Functional Team meeting and workshops as requested

Contracts:
1. Prepare requisitions, development and negotiation of payments, input to CTR's etc
2. Interact and work with PSCM on contractual issues
3. Ensure cost/schedule/controls of contract (principal document and coordination procedures) are consistent with project standard requirements

Accounting:
1. Map the sanction estimate (including Cost Centers/Account Codes) to each contractor's reporting structure to ensure successful integration with Cost-MANAGER
2. Prepare monthly VOWD, process invoices to approval (including invoice coding, confirmation of invoice routing to technical and financial approves, compliance with assigned contracts, etc), e-Invoice support, reconcile costs between SAP with Cost MANAGER

Performance Measurement:
1. Manhour collection and reporting
2. Oversight and analysis of Performance Measurement for each contractor

Close-Out:
1. Provide input to close-out data book for BRO Delivery Area
2. Financial system / Cost Management System requirements and reconciliations
3. Ensure close-out of purchase orders and contracts
4. Other activities, as required

Deliverables prepared at BRO Delivery Team level:
1. Cost Reports: Including Budgets, Changes, Commitments, VOWD, and Forecasts
2. Variance Analysis
3. Performance Measurement Reports and Analysis
4. Capex Plan
5. Invoice Status
6. Close-Out Activities and Reports
7. Specialty and ad hoc reports as required

Education/Experience:
• Minimum 5 years experience in related roles in the Oil and gas industry.

Personal skills:
• Good communicator, proactively seeking advice from others and share own experiences with group

Interpersonal skills:
• Good knowledge of the English, Norwegian language desirable.
