My client is global leader in ship repair and conversion, and specialized shipbuilding. Planning Engineer Responsibilities: • Prepare, monitor, track and maintain project master/key dates/detailed schedule • Analyze project schedule and forecast anticipated project delivery dates • Liaise with various departments on progress updates to keep progress on schedule • Attend project related meetings • Highlight any potential delays to the Management Requirements: • Degree / Diploma in Naval Architecture / Civil / Marine and Offshore / Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical Engineering • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience • Experience in Microsoft Project and Primavera Project Management software • Knowledge of Microsoft Access would be an added advantage • Excellent analytical mind Contracting Officer Responsibilities: • Source and Source and maintain a list of reliable sub-contractors to complement the organization workforce • Prepare and arrange for sub-contractors’ tenders and ensure adequate information/ requirements are supplied for such purposes • Negotiate with sub-contractors and prepare labour/ service contracts or works orders, contract revisions for reworks, etc • Review sub-contracting work processes to enhance efficiency and productivity • Liaise with the internal departments as well as sub-contractors both in-house and out of yard • Coordinate in-house sub-contracting work for specific project by liaising with Project Management, Production and Engineering Departments • Assist Project Management in compilation and reporting of sub-contract cost • Assist Project Management to coordinate and compile sub-contract variation work claims whenever requested • Coordinate compiled post project evaluation of all in-house sub-contractors with relevant departments and summarized for final evaluation by Sub-contract Committee and subsequent course of action on performance of sub-contractors • Establish and map out workload of sub-contractors in advance with Production Department Requirements: • Degree / Diploma in Naval Architecture / Civil / Marine and Offshore / Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical Engineering • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience • Possess updated knowledge of market rates of labour and specific services for the organization’s construction activities • Possess basic knowledge of offshore and marine construction capabilities and production facilities • Possess basic knowledge of offshore structure, rigs and vessels • Able to work in a team • Good negotiation and interpersonal skills • Proficient in Microsoft Office and JDEOW system
