Job Description

Engineering, specializing in build, development and implementation of Maintenance activity

• Involved with the development, implementation and update of the Reliability and Maintenance Management Strategy to manage identified risks and deliver availability.
• Development, implementation, and periodic update of the Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for the project maintenance activities.
• Production Availability Model - Perform maintenance analyses, including gathering, monitoring and analyses of historic data, and adjust programs accordingly; included is the development and maintaining of a production availability model including handover to the Region.
• Coordinate and approve updating of maintenance activity in CMMS system.
• Prepare and maintain procedures within area of accountability to ensure they meet changes in regulations, lessons learned, Best Practices, and organizational changes.
• Identify and implement improvements and utilize new technology to continuously improve safety, availability, reliability and costs.
• Participate in project maintainability reviews and follow up on implementation of the findings.
• Participate in project critical assessment reviews.
• Participate in reliability envelopes reviews for critical equipment.
• Provide input to life cycle cost analyses.
• Spare Parts - For the commissioning, start-up and 2 year operational spares prepare a repair and spare parts strategy for equipment identifying the stocking criteria and the response to failure. Including:
o Suitable spare analyses to determine the optimum spares holding,
o Suitable schedule, ordering and delivery to ensure the spares are located within managed stock prior to the associated equipment being placed into service,
o Defined and documented spares management process/workflow,
o Accurate and complete data addressing spare parts shall be in place and maintained current within the CMMS and purchasing system, and
o Update of the existing region's or development of new process and procedures for the management of spares in stock.
• Preservation - define the preservation requirements of equipment within the project scope covering initial preservation measures, warehouse preservation, installed preservation and pre-operations maintenance activities.
o Develop management system for all phases of preservation maintenance (manufacture to operations) to control and record all the preservation activities, and
o Develop a process to verify that the designed preservation maintenance has been completed as scheduled to an acceptable standard.
• Equipment Monitoring - where condition monitoring has been specified within the maintenance strategy responsible for capture of the baseline data during construction, commissioning and start-up.
o Responsible for conducting commissioning and acceptance testing for the operation of conditioning monitoring equipment and systems..
• Develop and assign risk-based reliability strategies for installed equipment utilizing where possible the existing or updated Region equipment reliability strategies or developing new equipment strategies where required and associated reliability programs.
o Complete an assessment to identify where more detailed instructions at the "how to" level are required for maintenance activities.
• Based on the Project Information Strategy responsible for essential manufacturer and equipment data capture, storage and hand over, maintained and in place to the region prior to Operations.
• Provide input into maintenance budgets and budget control.
• Contribute to the professional/technical development of the regional maintenance team members.

Bachelor's of Science Degree in Engineering required

• Minimum 12 years experience with 7 extensive years exposure in major capital projects or operational facilities within the Maintenance engineering discipline.
• Bachelor's of Science Degree in Engineering required
• In-depth knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, such as Maximo
• Good understanding of basic economics
• Structured way of Working, including Planning ability.
• Self dependent with well developed cooperation abilities/team Working skills.
• Capable of Working new initiatives and following these through to delivery
