AMEC E&I are seeking a Senior Ports & Marine Project Manager/ Engineer to join our Vancouver, BC Ports & Marine Group.Our AMEC Ports & Marine Group provides a full range of engineering services to local, national and international clients. Due to continued growth and exciting new business (both in Canada and abroad) we are currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager/Engineer - Ports & Marine for our group based in Vancouver, BC. This is an exciting opportunity for an industry professional with the long-term drive, ambition to develop and progress within our organization.
Responsibilities include:
- A recognized expert in the Ports industry
- As a key member of the group you will lead teams through all project phases including scoping studies, concept planning, feasibility studies, detailed designs and EPCM port and marine projects
- You will bring proven leadership skills, technical expertise in ports and maritime engineering and the ability to mentor and guide junior engineers
- Provides advanced leadership to technical staff
- Contribute to project proposals and assisting with business development
- Complete design and peer reviews, and ensuring technical performance of the project team
- Monitor and ensure quality compliance while respecting budget and schedule objectives
- Prepare engineering reports and other technical documents specifications and contract documents for marine projects
Desired Skills & Experience
Qualifications- A minimum of 15 years’ experience in the planning and design of marine terminals.
- Experience in structural marine engineering analysis, evaluation, design and report preparation
- A proven track record designing marine terminals
- A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, a Master Degree in Maritime Engineering would be an asset
- Experience in construction would be an asset
- A proven track record designing marine terminals
