One of the world's top independent oil and gas exploration and production companies with U.S Operations in the Anadarko and Permian basins, and in and along the Gulf of Mexico, in the areas on-and offshore Texas and Louisiana is looking for a a EHS Drilling Specialist III to join their team in Oklahoma to look over their Texas Panhandle and Western Oklahoma operations.

ROLE:
EHS Drilling Specialist III - Functional EHS Drilling Specialist responsible for providing 24/7 operational support for drilling operations in the Texas Panhandle and Woodard area as well as the enforcement of company culture and safety initiatives throughout their field operations for the Central Region.

Duties:
-Compliance with federal (USEPA, OSHA, IDAC) and state regulatory requirements.
-Compliance with corporate policies, record keeping and reporting requirements.
-Compliance with EHS Global Standards.
-Prepare emergency preparedness and response policies and implement same.
-Preserve and promote the corporate culture, worker moral and stakeholder interests.
-Work with the drilling and operating groups to identify the resources, strategies and manpower necessary for implementing key components of the Global Standards.
-Coordinates required incident investigations (injuries, spills, and damages), identifies the root cause and recommends corrective actions.
-Develops and supervises effective drilling rig site safety programs.
-Conducts drilling rig surveys, due diligence investigations, safety and environmental audits of drilling rigs.
- Assess and improve worker training, monthly safety meetings, awards and recognition programs.
- Train company personnel as may be required in drilling and other safety issues.
-Supports the EH&S Manager, Drilling Engineers and Technicians, Corporate EH&S and other company personnel who work to achieve the corporate goals.
-Coordinates all regulatory agency communications and requests for rig inspections

Requirements:
Strongly prefer 5 - 10+ years of field experience in the Oil/Gas Industry, preferably on drilling rigs. Must have experience with drilling rig audits, safety program implementation, Tap Root Cause Analysis and accident investigations, working in an H2S work environment, rig fires training and BOP school. IDAC Rig Pass certification a plus.
